When I saw this item, I wanted it right away. Fortunately I ordered it right away as it is now out of stock. I love having a shelf that I can label: “words, ovals, circles, alphabets, etc. I think it would work better if I take the time to tape the strips in place before moving them in and out. I also notice that I had many sets of things that were very similar and perhaps some circles and ovals I can get rid of. I think it will help me use my dies more frequently.
I did run out of strips and have one whole shelf I cannot use because I have no strips left.

    • Tiffany Spaulding

      Hi Etta –
Did you know the magnetic strips are adhesive on the back? This will help with your sliding problem. If you spread then out evenly – you will have 6 strips per shelf. Please email customer service if you have questions and we will help you further. T.

I recently bought the die file and really like it. There is lots of storage room, and both sides of each panel can be loaded with dies. The only problems I had were not with the product itself; some of my dies were slightly warped and did not grip the magnets well. I love being able to label dies and find exactly what I want. My only complaint is with the rather high price. The product is well designed and very useful. Great job, Tiffany!

  3. Jennifer

Very pleased with this product. Each shelf holds a TON of dies. The magnetic strips give you flexibility and firmly hold the dies. I have eight large sets of dies on just one shelf! So much easier to organize and find your dies. I bought two of these – they stack together solidly and fit perfectly in my cube storage system.

  4. Katy Young

I bought two of these and put them in my kallax side by side. I did order two extra sets of magnetic strips and have my files double sided. These hold so many dies! I can finally see what I have!

  5. Yvonne

Received my box and so happy to fill it up with my dies I will need to get a 2nd box soon. Thanks

  6. Debby

I really like this storage item! I can see what I have so much easier than magnet sheets piled on top of each other. I bought extra magnet strips because I have a lot of small dies that required the strips to be closer than suggested. However, I now have extra strips and was thinking of putting dies on the other side of the panel, but am hesitant. I am worried about possibly having dies that are not as secure because they are upside down. Is this a valid assumption? I would like to know anyone’s experience.
P.S. not in the budget to purchase a 2nd unit.

Best Storage Ever. Love this storage box, makes all my dies easy to organize and find. My only regret is I didn’t buy more! Hopefully they will be back in stock soon!

  8. Marianne

I recently received 3 of these organizers, and I could not be happier with them. I was able to organize my dies by manufacturer and even found a way to store die and stamp sets in one of the organizers. Two fit nicely in either the Ikea storage unit or the modular squares that are sold in Michael’s, Joann’s and everywhere else. I’m a happy camper. I do think, however, that the craftsmanship inside was a little substandard because two of my units were not sanded well in the tracks that hold the boards. It did not affect the performance of the unit. Also had to keep them outside for a few days because of the odor that came from them. But, in the end, it’s the best organization for dies there is.

very disappointed that a product that was just released is sold out already!

    • Karen Slusher

Hi Steph – Sorry for the disappointment. We were disappointed, too! Had we known how popular these were going to be, we would have ordered more. We have a new batch on the way now. I’ve added you to the waitlist, so you’ll know as soon as it arrives.

  10. Linda Lopez

This is the best storage solution!!! I just wish I ordered more than one whenI hade the chance but the cost was too high! I am now on the waiting list and will buy at least two more!!I am using my dies every day now!!!!

  11. Rebecca Foley

Wondering if you have any ETA on the availability of these? And do you think you have enough ordered that all of us on the waitlist will be able to get one?

    • Tiffany Spaulding

      HI Rebecca –
They have just arrived at the port of Tacoma, and should go live on our website before the end of the week. They will also be featured again on HSN in September.

I received my Die File and was so excited because I have so many dies. Imagine my disappointment when the magnetic strips allowed my dies to fall off. Really frustrated. Bought some magnetic sheets (8-1/2 x 11)from Amazon. Everything now works like a charm. Tiffany I really enjoy your products but you need to up your grade of magnetic strips or sheets with this product. The product is a great idea and with the proper magnetic strips (sheets) it is ideal.

    • Tiffany Spaulding

Hmmm…This is very odd, we’ve sold thousands of these and the only problem so far was a crafter putting her dies on the magnets with the cutting side down instead of the flat side down. Do you want us to send you a new box of magnets? I’m happy to send you a new box of magnets any chance you could record a short video and send it in so I can get a good visual on what might be going on? Tif

I love this thing so much that I actually have 2 of them. One I stand vertically on my workspace and the other is lying flat. That allows me the ability to keep my coordinating stamps WITH their dies. I just put a tiny Velcro dot on the shelf to hold the stamps and viola! They stay in place and together. I can not say enough about this organizer. I got the first one a few months ago and then checked HSN and Tiffany’s website EVERYDAY to watch for it come back…just love it.

I did have one slight problem when the first one arrived. I got all of the magnetic strips on and started to put my dies on and some of them I just could not get to stick. Then I realized the ones that were sticking had the flat side down and the ones that I couldn’t get to stick I was trying to put them cut side down so that I could see what they were. That does not work…you need to put them flat side down. Just a heads up…took me a few…DUH.

  14. Ellen

Love these! Wondering if they would hold 12 x 12” paper?

    • Tiffany Spaulding

The interior length is deep enough, but the interior width is just a hair shy of 12″ so no. 🙁

I love this product. I now have all my dies together. Yea!!!! The only problem I am having is that some of the dies do not stay stuck very long. I am using both side to put dies on. Maybe some stronger magnet strips. I have had to use more strips per shelf so that the cheaper dies will stick by placing them on two strips. I did notice That the dies from China are the ones not sticking well. I bought them off Amazon and they do not tell you where they are coming from. One box has a chip on the top edge and box it arrived in looked like it had gone thru a war. But it still works well. I love this product.

    • Tiffany Spaulding

      Hi Susan –
This is odd about the Chinese dies, I’m curious about their metal composition…just one thought, the adhesive on the magnetic strips will easily stick to the wood of the file, but the top is a little rounded because of the way they are packaged – I did notice with mine that I had to push down along the entire length of the strip to make it more “flat”, if that makes sense – maybe I’ll do a little video about it – thanks for taking to post your comments. It’s very helpful as we develop products to get feedback directly from the end user.

  16. Diane

This is perfect for my dies. I will have to put some with stronger magnets but most work great. I am having a little trouble with getting some of the files in and out. They are in there pretty tight

    • Tiffany Spaulding

      Hi Diane –
Glad you’re like the Die File. Because the panels are painted and wooden, they can occasionally be a little sticky – sliding them in and out several times will help, as will a bit of bees wax or candle wax. If you live somewhere with lots of humidity that could be adding to “swelling” of the wood, but either of the suggestions above will remedy that as well. Thanks so much for taking the time to post your comments. T.

Am on my second Die File Storage container which I purchased from HSN! They’re great! I like that even the very long dies fit! I wanted to speak to you when you were on HSN but your products sold out so fast, and I wasn’t able to get to talk to you. Wanted to ask you to please make the extra magnet strips available for purchase on HSN. I use both sides of the filing wooden panels. I am able to only do 10 (front and back). It would make it convenient to have them available for those that need extra magnet strips, AND less expensive in Shipping and Handling fees!
Now I have to wait for more magnet strips since you’re sold out!
Thank you for such great product.

I now own 3 of the great storage Die Files. The first two were perfect. The magnetic strips stuck well on both sides of the slide tray. The 3rd one I purchased from HSN and while the storage container and trays are great the magnetic strips Do Not Stick. I have been in touch with TT customer service and they will be replacing the defective magnetic strips. I have to say this is the best storage system for dies. I love that the magnetic strips are white but I just wished they’d stick much better.

PLEASE NOTE: Tiffany refers in this video to each of the Die File panels having 10 magnetic strips, but there are 10 panels and 60 strips. Our intention is that you use 6 strips per panel, but you’re free to customize how many strips you place on each panel to fit your die collection. By putting 6 strips per panel, there will be an equal amount on each of the 10 panels, using the 60 strips provided. Sorry for any confusion.
